Your first treatment at BTXRoom
Most people who come to me are trying botulinum toxin for the first time. This page covers everything you should know beforehand: how your appointment works, how to prepare and what to keep in mind afterwards.
How your appointment works

Book
You book an appointment for consultation and treatment online. Appointments are on Saturdays. If you'd like to clarify something first, just send me a WhatsApp message.

Arrive
The practice is at Niebuhrstraße 63 in Berlin-Charlottenburg. I keep generous buffer time between appointments, so there's no waiting room. First we go through your medical history and consent form together: existing conditions, medication, previous treatments.

Consultation
I look at your facial expressions at rest and in motion. You tell me what bothers you, and I tell you honestly what's realistic and what I'd recommend. You get a clear price before anything happens. Whether you go ahead is your decision.

Treatment
I clean the skin and place a few small injections at the agreed points using very fine needles. It usually takes less than 15 minutes. You can go straight back to your day.
- 05
Follow-up
The effect starts after a few days, and the full result shows after about two weeks. Then we meet for a free follow-up. If a small adjustment is needed, it's included.
Before your appointment
- Come without make-up on the treatment area if you can.
- Bring a list of your medication.
- If you take blood thinners, let me know beforehand. Don't stop prescribed medication on your own.
- Try to avoid alcohol the day before. This can lower the risk of small bruises.
- Plan important events like a wedding or a photo shoot at least three weeks ahead.
After your treatment
- Stay upright for about 4 hours, so no lying down and no nap.
- Don't rub or massage the treated areas.
- Avoid intense exercise, sauna, tanning beds and strong sun for 24 hours.
- Best wait a few hours before applying make-up.
- Work, meetings and everyday life can continue right away.
What's normal
Small red marks or bumps at the injection points usually disappear within 15 to 30 minutes. Occasionally a small bruise appears, and some people feel slight pressure in the head for the first few days. Very rarely, the effect can be uneven or an eyelid can sit slightly lower for a while. This resolves on its own. If anything feels unusual or worries you, get in touch with me directly, WhatsApp is fine.
When I don't treat
Your safety comes first. In these cases treatment isn't possible, or we check carefully beforehand whether it's an option for you:
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Neuromuscular conditions such as myasthenia gravis
- Acute inflammation or infection at the treatment site
- Known allergy to ingredients of the product
- Certain medication, such as some antibiotics (aminoglycosides)
- Under 18
What it costs
The consultation is free, even if you decide against treatment. One area starts at €180. The price includes the original product, the treatment by a physician and the follow-up after 14 days. You receive a medical invoice under the German fee schedule (GOÄ). Aesthetic treatments are self-pay and not covered by statutory health insurance.

Does it hurt?
Most people only feel a brief pinch. The needles are very fine and the treatment is over in a few minutes. Numbing cream usually isn't necessary.
Will people see it right afterwards?
Small red marks or bumps at the injection points usually disappear within 15 to 30 minutes. You can go back to work or to appointments afterwards.
Will I look frozen?
My goal is a natural result. I dose as little as possible and as much as necessary. Your expressions stay, they just become softer.
Do I have to get treated at my first appointment?
No. You can come for a consultation only and take your time deciding whether and when to go ahead. The consultation is free.
What if I don't like the result?
We meet for a follow-up after 14 days. If an adjustment makes sense, it's free. The body also breaks botulinum toxin down completely after a few months.
How long does it last?
Usually 3 to 6 months, depending on the area, the dose and your body. With regular treatments the effect often lasts a little longer.
Can I ask questions beforehand?

Do you treat in English?
