The treatment
A very small amount of botulinum toxin is placed into the muscles that lift the upper lip. They then lift the lip slightly less.
Possible result
Less gum can show when you smile and your smile can look more balanced. The effect usually lasts 3 to 4 months.

Consultation and treatment
I assess your facial expressions, we set the goal together, and I treat using very fine needles. Duration: 10 minutes. You can go straight back to your day.

The effect starts
The muscle relaxes gradually. The full result shows after about two weeks.

Causes of a gummy smile
Often a very active upper-lip muscle is the reason. If the cause lies in the jaw or the teeth, botulinum toxin only helps to a limited extent. I'll assess this beforehand.

Yes. The dose is very small. The upper lip may feel a little unusual in the first days; this usually settles quickly.

Stay upright for about 4 hours, don't massage the treated area, and avoid intense exercise, sauna and strong sun for 24 hours.
