When you speak or tense up, vertical cords appear on the neck: the platysma bands. They can make the neck look older and the jawline softer.
The treatment
Botulinum toxin is placed into the platysma muscle along the visible bands and partly along the jawline. The muscle then pulls downwards less strongly.
Possible result
The neck bands can relax and the contour between neck and jaw can look clearer. The effect usually lasts 3 to 4 months.

Day 0
Consultation and treatment
I assess your facial expressions, we set the goal together, and I treat using very fine needles. Duration: 15 to 20 minutes. You can go straight back to your day.
After 3 to 7 days
The effect starts
The muscle relaxes gradually. The full result shows after about two weeks.

Follow-up
We look at the result together. If a small adjustment is needed, it's free.

What the platysma muscle does
The platysma is a flat muscle running from the lower jaw over the neck to the collarbone. When it's very active, it pulls tissue down and shows as bands.

Frequently asked questions
Does it help with horizontal neck lines?
Only to a limited extent. Botulinum toxin mainly works on the vertical bands. Horizontal lines are mostly caused by skin ageing.
Can I swallow normally afterwards?
Yes. The injections are superficial into the platysma. The deeper muscles for swallowing and speaking are not treated.
What should I keep in mind after the treatment?
Stay upright for about 4 hours, don't massage the treated area, and avoid intense exercise, sauna and strong sun for 24 hours.
How does the follow-up work?
After 14 days we look at the result together. If a small adjustment is needed, it's included in the price.
